If you’ve visited Kauffman Founders School to view the video lectures we post each and every week, we’re glad you’ve joined us! We’ve been lucky to work with incredibly knowledgeable experts, and to meet hard-working, and inspirational entrepreneurs who are tackling challenges every day.
Each of our major lectures is, as you may have noticed, accompanied by additional resources to help you expand on the lessons, and to implement what you may have learned. These include additional readings and resources, suggestions for questions you can ask yourself and your team, and tools to help you accomplish your goals.
In recent weeks, we’ve been featuring videos from Neil Patel on digital marketing, adding to the lessons with Anita Newton on Entrepreneurial Marketing. Here are three things from our “Tools and Exercises” that you can do, today, to hone your marketing strategy.
- Create your value proposition. What does my product do? Think in terms of customer benefits, not just product features. Of the customers who would use our product, which customers would view our product as a nice to have? Which would see it as a must have? What are the breakthrough capabilities of my product or service?
-
Identify a person who represents your target and ask them to review your presence – website, social media, presentations, etc. Do they find these relevant to them? Does it explain to them what the product does? Will they motivate the intended target to use your product or service?
- As a team, generate a list of at least 25 topics that would be of interest to your customers. After completing the list of topics, ask: Can we create content that is actionable, educational, inspirational, outrageous and/or useful? Strive to have the A,E, I, O and U of content for your customers.
