When you hear the term “genome,” it might take you back to your high school biology class, where your teacher talked about the many zillions of pieces of data that are contained in DNA. You can think of a Startup Genome a bit the same way.
In this episode of Top of Mind, I sat down with Shane Reiser, co-founder of Startup Genome. Much like the various pieces of genetic data found in DNA, Startup Genome rounds up all of the data available in the community that might be helpful to an entrepreneur and centralizes it in one place where it can assist startups as they chart their courses and launch their ventures. Very much a grassroots effort, it relies on community organizers to serve as local curators who populate and then police a community’s genome.
See why Shane and his partner launched Startup Genome and how they ensure data integrity, so entrepreneurs can reliably find, infiltrate and contribute to their startup community.
