Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is an annual weeklong, worldwide series of events that educates literally millions of people about entrepreneurship and innovation. As I’ve said before, it’s become a child of the world, growing into something larger than we could have imagined.
Social media has played an important role in GEW’s growth. It’s easier than ever to learn about and sign up for the thousands of events taking place around the world, share highlights of the events with your network, strike up a conversation about entrepreneurship, and spread the great hope and promise that GEW week provides.
Recently, the Kauffman Foundation rounded up some GEW-related stats to see just how global this week truly is, as it relates to activity, participation, and reach. It’s pretty impressive and I’m honored to have been a part of it. I hope you were one of the visitors, voters, and Tweeters tallied below. If not, GEW 2012 is already set. Mark your calendars for November 12–18, 2012.
